In Their Own Backyards...

I finally took some time this weekend to stumble through blogs, searching out new ones I'd never set my eyes on when I came across this gem: Backyard Bill
Capturing unique and creative people in their own clothes, in their own backyards. (PS - The guy above so belongs in Seattle.)I like that the blog asks a few brief questions, offering a glimpse of the personality behind the photos. My favorite response Christian - the man blowing kisses.

What do you do or what would you like to do when you grow up?

I am working with clothes right now. When I grow up I hopefully have a bunch of kids, my body covered with tattoos and living next to the ocean.

Perfect.

The Bright Side (Project)

The fact that we're all ready for spring to be here combined with our everlasting economy woes is enough to drive anyone crazy these days, which is exactly why I am completely in love with the awesomeness that is The Bright Side Project.

Written by the talented (and apparently very aspirational) Miss B. of Blah Blah Blahg, The Bright Side Project was created to "bring you a little metaphorical sunshine every day, to help you stop for a second and remember life is (still) beautiful and there is goodness in the world."

Sounds pretty fantastic already, right? But we haven't even gotten to the best part.

The blog is full of sunshine in the form of giveaways from amazing (and generous!) artists and designers. This month's theme being {treasure}, you can see how many fantastic accessories have already been put up for grabs!

Each contributing designer poses a question that you must answer to be entered into the contest. The answers are also full of sunshine, which makes the whole happy fuzzy feeling even better.

And just to add to the awesomeness factor, Miss B decided to create a fabulous free download for all you, my fantastic readers. Your very own 'kelley' green version of her bright side project poster. I am in love. Print it out and post is up as a little daily reminder. Life ain't so bad after all.
