IN THE DETAILS: MUSIC + BRICK + MIRRORS

There's nothing like some unexpected surprise details in a home to make things feel just a little more special... but this first space is over the top in fabulousness...
in the details piano+under+staircase
On top of the gorgeous overall contrast of salvage + modern, the piano tucked under the stairs is what did me in the most. Can you imagine music magically drifting through the space?
in the details exposed+brick+ceiling
One of my other favorite surprises is when ceilings are given a little extra attention - in this case beautifully rounded exposed brick with a glamorous chandelier makes for a stunning rustic meets traditional look.

And, finally, a perfect example of practical meets pretty with this collection of antique gilded mirrrors as an accent to the full wall mirror. A fun way to create a little playful moment in an otherwise simple space.

SICK DAY...

After fighting off this bug for weeks, I finally had the flu hit me hard this weekend, my dears. I'm afraid you'll find me snuggled under the covers or soaking in the bath...
house+home bath
Nothing as glamorous as this, but a girl can dream, right? In the meantime, if you haven't already popped over to Canadian House&Home to see my Top 10 Picks for inspirational interiors, consider it a nice little replacement for today's post - my contributors will be here tomorrow to bring you more!

BATHROOM BREAK!

I couldn't help but share this perfectly coco+kelley-esque bathroom with you all...
3rduncledesign
The tile is a perfect pattern match, no? Of course if this were really my bathroom, you know the tub would be something much more along these lines...

Horse head not necessarily included... but I am kinda digging it...

LUXURIOUS LAYERS: LIGHTS + MARBLE + MIRRORS

Not only are both of these bath spaces oozing pure glamour...
They also prove that you don't have to cut your material short just to accommodate for a little moodlighting.

Layering beautiful chandelier sconces over cool marble or shimmering mirror takes luxury to a whole other level, don't you think?

Oasis

With a mind too full of details, lists, ideas and to-do's I'd like to slip away to a blank slate where I can find my own quite space, discover new inspiration and rejuvenate the spirit.

A virtual oasis will have to do for now. Excuse me while I get lost in these spaces for awhile.

White Hot Interiors

Temperatures continue to dip and I found myself humming my first Christmas song this morning (that's right, I said it, Christmas!).

It's making me want to retreat to warm inviting spaces that involve baking, hot chocolate, bubble baths and cozy blankets.

White may be prominent in these spaces but they still envelope you in warmth.

I'll take a day in each please!

I'm Loving...

Tile that glitters. I think it's the perfect way to make your home life feel a little more fabulous, don't you?

Back with a few more fun finds later today!

Sumptuous

I'm on my light and bright decor kick, but these bathrooms could very well get me to swing the other way.

I don't think I could live with dark interiors long-term, but I could handle a luscious sanctuary like these, couldn't you?

Happy (Soulful) Weekend

After all that color, I think I'm going to need a weekend spent here...

Time to feed the soul with bubble baths, lazy mornings, and some magazine catch up time. Oh, and dinner + wine at Rialto with these two gals tonight. Should be a lovely time!

A million thanks to all the guests here at coco+kelley this week! (We'll have one more joining on Monday...) And a huge thanks for all the congratulatory messages on my feature in Lucky Magazine. It was such a fun little adventure to be all styled up for the article and see my blog in print!

I wish you all a weekend of feeding your souls with whatever fills you up best.

luv&ciao!

Room of the Week 12.11

I think this is a Room of the Week first - never before have I featured a bathroom! But all I want right now is to take a long peaceful soak in a steaming hot tub...

....and fight off this nasty cold thats been lingering for the last week. I love the light filled space and the little fruit trees. The raw wood surrounding the bath warms the space a bit too and keeps it feeling so fresh!

A Little Vaca

Happy Monday peeps.  I'm taking a mini break today.

I like to think of it as if my brain were taking a lovely soak in a tub like this.

I'll be back bright and refreshed tomorrow!

The White Brick Road

Painting will commence on Thursday so check back for work in progress pics and to see the final product!

With that set to go my mind has been able to wander to other rooms in my house. It doesn't have far to go, there are only 4 rooms to choose from and like all others, the bathroom is in dire need of help too.

Continuing the tread of white inspiration from coco+kelley, I'm day dreaming of gleaming white subway tiles. There's a the bright, orderly, cleanliness to the look that is just ideal for a bathroom.

It may be tempting to mix things up a little by adding a fun border. I love this gorgeous tile from Anchorbaytile.com that I found via The Scoop, but I'm reluctant to mess with a good thing.

If my shower walls looked like that I might never make it into work again!
