The colors. The pattern. The price. In fact, I love it so much that I included it in my must-haves list for Sloane Magazine, and I've been having to stop myself from sharing it until the article was up! Have you checked it out yet?

HAPPY (SUNSHINEY) WEEKEND

Whew! It's been another very busy week around here at coco+kelley, wouldn't you say? On top of the usual posts, we've been hard at work getting ready to launch the first week of contributing writers starting on Tuesday (SO excited!) as well as putting together a little guest post for our friend Tobi Fairley over at her blog (fashionable summer camp necessities, anyone?).

But what got me really excited this week was yesterday's post on Cote´ Maison ranking coco+kelley as their 4th favorite English design blog in the world ... listed just behind the big boys: Apartment Therapy, design*sponge and decor8. I'm still giddy and astonished! A huge congrats to all the other bloggers who were mentioned as well - it's a fabulous group!

While I wish I could say things were slowing down for the weekend, the truth is there is lots of client work to be done and sunny porch time to be had, so I'm off and running! In the meantime I'll be dreaming of this gorgeous Italian escape with visions of its whitewashed walls and fluffy pillows in my head...

WEEKEND READING: C+K IN SLOANE MAGAZINE

Now that summer has officially arrived, I can officially share with you my latest magazine article, which I  hope you'll find some time to peruse this weekend (or perhaps on a lazy Friday work day?)

This is the second issue I've contributed to at Sloane - a fantastic online mag that offers real life articles, inspiration and advice for the 30-something woman (or the almost 30-something in my case!) - and this time I'm sharing my favorite must-haves for summer home and wardrobe...

Named for the uber-cool girlfriend of Ferris Bueller (who didn't want to be her in that white leather fringe jacket?) this has been a labor of love for the creative + talented Dana Cordova and I've been so thrilled to be a part of it. COCO+KELLEY LOVES ELLIE!

If you were lucky enough to find the time this weekend to dig into the latest issue of Lonny, you might have come across a familiar name...

I was so excited to discover that coco+kelley had been chosen by Editorial Assistant, Ellie Somerville - alongside some other very fabulous bloggers - as one of her Essential Reads! Even more amazing though is the apartment she put together for herself in NYC...

Loved this vignette in her living room that features some of my favorite pieces, including the ever-essential Parsons desk from West Elm in a cheery yellow that plays off the blue walls just perfectly...

The tall ceilings are stunning, and Ellie made the most of them with dramatic curtains and her DIY 'moldings' that are simply painted on! The addition of the rug in this space does volumes to cover a drab floor (always my biggest headache as a renter!).

The space in her home I loved the most, however, was definitely the bedroom. So sumptuous and classic. Her use of luxurious textiles makes me swoon!

Congrats on such a gorgeous home, Ellie, and a huge thank you!!!

HAPPY (SUNSETS) WEEKEND

This is a delayed happy weekend note from yours truly, but I wanted to spread my glee at having returned from Mexico to find that my little spread in the May issue of Sunset Magazine has arrived!

The article is all about my favorite shops for outdoor entertaining in Seattle. Unfortunately, I think the piece may be regional, so many of you may not be able to find it in your own issue of Sunset, but I was overwhelmed by the congrats I've received so far, so thank you all for your sweet Facebook notes and emails! Also, a big thanks to photographer Jose Mandojana for such a great shoot.

As for me... I'm still dreaming of sunsets like these...

Mexico was an amazing trip and I'll share some more snaps from my travels soon, as well as a few more Series Submissions coming up next week from our potential contributors! You all left some great feedback last week, and I hope you'll continue to come by for the next (and final, I promise!) round.

COCO+KELLEY IN LOFT LIFE!

Some of you may have seen the tweets last week announcing the blogger feature in LoftLife Magazine, but I couldn't let this type of press pass by without sharing it with all of you!
I was so so SO thrilled to be included in this insanely talented group of ladies and their gorgeous homes!
I literally gasped in jealousy over Remodelista Francesca's gorgeous chandelier and fireplace (not to mention the rest of the decor!), as well as Kris of Better Living Through Design's perfectly pared down living room...
The article also includes the other ladies who contribute to each of these blogs (Julie for Remodelista and Katie for BLTD) as well as the always adorable Victoria of sfgirlbybay (her apartment has been a long-time fave of mine!), Lori of Automatism, Kim at Desire to Inspire, and the talented Danielle of The Style Files (love her eye). Lucky Me in Lucky Mag!

Remember a few months ago when I took a little trip to LA? Well, the real reason behind the quick flight was a photo shoot for an upcoming issue of Lucky Magazine, and guess what?? It's HERE!

My little piece (and even smaller photo!) was so fun to do. Editor Elise Loehnen featured me in her 'webpages' section, asking for my favorite shopping and inspiration sites. You can see which two blogs were my top picks! To Ez and Ms. Shoo, thanks for your consistently original content, loads of inspiration, and (most importantly!), for sharing yourself with the rest of us! These are two incredible women.
