Monday {Accessorizing} Workwear

I continue to look for ways to freshen up my standard workwear uniform. A consistent trend throughout the waterfall of fashion weeks was the over sized clutch.

clutches for monday workwear

After hauling a bucket bag around all winter it's time to spring clean down to the very basics - and a clutch that holds my laptop and a handful of essentials could be the perfect fit!

What do you think, would you carry a clutch to work?

Happy Monday luvies,
*Mrs. E

Nature Made

I love giving a nod to the natural world through my accessories.

Nature made

I'd love to flash feathers, wood or semi precious stones from my ears, neck, wrist and fingers. Such a glam-looking way to keep it real!

I LOVE...

You know you've found a great new accessory when everyone who sees it says "Oh my god, I love that!" followed by "Where'd you get it?" Well, since the day I received my Stephanie Johnson pouches from the lovely people at Cambria Cove, that's all I've heard...
stephanie+johnson+ipad+case+pouch
It's funny how such a simple, but glamorous design has caught the eye of so many! You've probably seen them featured a dozen times in different magazines, but I've been asked about them so much, I decided it was high time they made an appearance on coco+kelley. I'm especially enamoured with the latest addition of the ipad case.

*Order your own pouch set at Cambria Cove, or check out the complete collection on the Stephanie Johnson website.

I LOVE...

I'm pretty sure there is no possible way this DVF bag could get any better...

The broad stripes with tan strap and red lining make it irresistible. Pairing it with this vintage Ferragamo cuff, however, might be the best mind-blowing combination ever.

I LOVE...

I've  been hunting for the perfect pair of leather gloves to get me through the winter. The problem? I dont actually really like most leather gloves... there's something about them that feels unnatural to my style. But, for driving purposes, cute little fuzzy mittens aren't gonna cut it. Then I found these...

The lazer cut lace pattern on suede softens the leather look without being too high contrast. Chic. Fab. Sold.

BEAUTIFULLY BRONZED

My favorite shade of shimmer for the holidays this year isn't gold or silver...
cocokelley-bronzed
It's a gorgeously rich shade of burnished bronze (and copper too!). I love it paired with neutral grey and cream, but it would pop so pretty with a traditional emerald green too!

GLOBAL STYLE: BROOK&LYN

Hello lovelies! Cristina from Fuji Files with a bit of Global Style for you to add to your Christmas wish lists. Mimi Jung, founder of Brook&Lyn, is a New York fashion blogger, boutique owner, and stylist. Now, luckily for us, she is adding jewelry designer to that awe-inspiring list of credentials!
Mimi's jewelry collection, Surrounded, was inspired on a recent trip to Hong Kong where she discovered beautiful agate slabs in a small stone shop.
The name 'Surrounded' is an homage to the stone and the process of creating each piece. As you can see the center of each stone is surrounded by concentric rings in varying shape and color. These rings are echoed in the hand-made crochet ring around each stone, and the entire piece is then surrounded by rope.
I love their versatility! I have a weakness for clothing and accessories that can be worn in various ways.
Reason number two for adding these to the Christmas list: they can transform an entire look. One necklace can take a typical T-shirt or maxi dress to full fledged fashionista. Need styling ideas? I love browsing at Mimi's blog for inspiration (and for picturing the countless ways I could work this into my wardrobe!)
This collection is right on trend with a unique twist, and is just the thing to breathe new life to well-worn outfits. What more could you ask for in an accessory?

BEHR IT ALL

When the latest looks from designer Jennifer Behr came my way a few weeks ago I literally gasped at the opening shot of her fall/winter 2010 lookbook...
Picture 1
I mean, who doesn't fantasize about black lace looking this good? But what's amazing is that the styles only got better...
jennifer behr1
Rhinestones, fur, studded mesh and leather. Sumptuous, luxurious and badass all in their own right.
jennifer behr2
After so many seasons of avoiding black, I'm dying to have it back again. The richness of the velvet is so good!
jennifer behr3
And if I had to pick just one I might even get brave and try the turban style, just for a change. Then again... rhinestones are a girl's best friend...

GIVEAWAY! ACCESSORIES FROM THE LOADED TRUNK

I've been a huge fan of the textiles at The Loaded Trunk for quite some time, but this season I'm particularly excited about their accessories as well! Roni Jaco, the owner and curator of these fabulous goods was kind enough to send me a pair of Juti Slippers after her last shopping excursion in India that I'm totally loving at the moment! They're perfect for around the house in the summer, but also for a quick jaunt to the store or a weekend lunch with the girls...
the loaded trunk giveaway

And, of course, we're giving you the chance to win some of this fabulousness for yourself! Just drop a comment below letting us know which jewelry or accessory item from The Loaded Trunk  would be on the top of your list and you could find it in your mailbox! Don't forget to leave an email address, and good luck!

I LOVE... (WOOD CLASPS)

The addition of rich wood detail to accessories gives them that yummy bohemian and organic feel that's just perfect for summer...

THE LIFE AQUATIC

The palette in my living room continues to grow from my initial inspiration and the latest idea I'm loving is a collection of pieces in every shade of blue inspired by the ocean...
I think it would be amazing to line a single shelf with all these pieces and more - different sizes, shapes, textures and finishes, all in beautifully crafted pottery creating your own ocean horizon...

*pieces available at darielles, element clay studio, and anthropologie

I LOVE...

These vintage Paloma Picasso sunglasses are just too perfectly summery not to love...
And, I think it's pretty fantastic that net-a-porter is carrying vintage pieces like this!! They have some gorgeous + glamorous selections right now... both new and old. While I tend to stick to my classic aviators, this retro cat-eye style would be a fun way to switch things up...

HAPPY EASTER, BUNNIES

Hoping you all had a fabulous little holiday!! Instead of a chocolate bunny this year, I'll stick to my pre-vacation diet and take something a little more sparkly instead...
I'll be playing catch up tomorrow after my bachelorette partying, wine tasting, road tripping, easter weekend, but will be back Tuesday with posts and pics!

xoxo,
cassandra

'TINI TABLES

I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned every seat in the house should have a little table next to reserved especially for your martini (dirty... with extra olives, please)...
These fabulous 'tini tables get my vote! Especially with all the colors and top finishes there are to choose from...
How fun would it be to have these scattered throughout your home in every color??
