Think Pink: A Survivor Soiree

I mentioned the first week of October that I'd post up some more ways you could participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and thanks to Viola at chewing the cud and Libby at byrd+bleeker, I've got another great little way for you to not only donate to the cause, but celebrate those who have beat the disease!

These two creative gals got together and came up with Survivor Soiree ~ a pink party to "celebrate the vitality of the women who have survived breast cancer," as they put it. As a part of this, chewing the cud has designed beautiful "New Beginnings" letterpress invitations...

And byrd+bleeker has created the "Sweetness of Life" candy bar ~ totally customizable to your level of dessert desires!

If you or someone close to you is a survivor, or if you just want to show some support in pink, this is a great way to do so! The invitations are already made, and the desserts are sure to be divine! If you live in Texas or New York, Libby will be there to set up your candy bar, or she will ship anywhere in the country! Favors, candy tags (like the one above) and more can also be personalized to fit your soiree.

The pair have chosen to donate 10% of the proceeds from your order to the Nellie B. Connally Breast Cancer Foundation at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at Houston, where Libby calls home, and where Viola's own father is currently a patient.

As a special bonus, chewing the cud and byrd+bleeker are both offering 20% off of any orders placed in October to coco+kelley readers! All you have to do is mention my blog and the discount is yours.

Thank you Viola and Libby, and I hope that some of you will consider putting on your own Survivor Soiree!
