Persian Wedding Flowers in Etnic and Unique Style

wedding decorations

Wedding decorations this time taking photographs of a banquet table using a variety of flowers arranged with antique and unique in the Persian style. The table looks full but gives the impression of elegant and simple design.

In this ethnic marriages must also be considered forms of decoration, the flowers are used, the rituals that must be performed by a pair of wedding bride and various other trinkets.
So that will create a sacred atmosphere which is very beautiful and touching.

COCKTAILS AT SIX: THE ALL HALLOW'S EVE SUNSET

What fun for a usually sunny, optimistic girl to don sinister (yet pretty!) layers of tulle, satin & a wide brimmed pointy hat...

Just adding to the All Hallow’s Eve festivities, her girlfriends join her in quite similar garb - hands full of wickedly good treats. Layered cocktails & spiderweb laced eggs look a bit intimidating, but don’t shy away from these grown up party favors. With a little effort, you’ll have platters full of both waiting to greet your guests in return!

The All Hallows' Eve Sunset

3 ounces tangerine juice
1 1/2 ounces white rum
3/4 ounce grenadine
ice cubes

Combine juice and rum in a tall glass filled with ice. Top with grenadine and serve immediately. This cocktail is two-toned when first poured, but as the ingredients mix, the cocktail will evolve into an intense solid orange. Serves 1.

Spiderweb Eggs

1 dozen large eggs
8 cups water
2 cups frozen blueberries
Gray sea salt & pepper, for serving

Place eggs in a single layer in a large saucepan, and cover with water and blueberries. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove eggs one at a time, and place on a folded towel. Lightly crack shell on side with the handle of a whisk or a wooden spoon. Transfer egg to a medium bowl; cover with cooking water. Repeat with remaining eggs. Let eggs cool completely in water in refrigerator. Carefully peel shells from eggs. Serve with salt & pepper.

Best ShortHair Style

http://imagesme.net/beautyhairstyles/hayden-panettiere-short-hairstyle1.jpg

First of all, consider your lifestyle. Do you work indoors in an office all day? You can afford to spend the extra time on your look should you desire since there should be nothing working against your hair such as wind or rain. Or are you out in the elements? Perhaps you go to the gym after work and need a style that dries by itself and yet still looks presentable? A precision cut or permanent wave may suit this type as they both would dry stylishly on their own. Longer hair of course should be clipped up in the wind to protect its health as well as its beauty.

I've Got a Crush

By popular demand I had to share my biggest crush these days. I give you....Chloe!

Everyone could use a little cuteness on a Friday morning, right?! She certainly brightens my day, not that I'm biased or anything.

MANSOUR MODERN INVITES YOU...

Don't you just hate when you get invited to a sample sale that's not in your own city? I can't even count the times I've said do myself "I wish it were online..."
PATCHWORK_BLAST_1
Well, my dears, this is not one of those times because the smarties over at one of my favorite rug companies, Mansour Modern, are giving you the opportunity to shop some exclusively crafted pieces starting next Monday!

These vintage patchwork flatweaves are rugs made from upcycled existing rugs and other vintage materials, hand sewn by artisans to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Each rug has a beautiful worn finish to them and they add beautiful texture to the spaces they fill...
CK_PATCHWORK_SAMPLER
I've spent hours searching through antique shops to find those perfectly worn rugs that add history and character to homes - these pieces are the perfect blend of a more modern sensibility with that timeworn look! And such beautiful colors!

The best part is that the pricing for this sale will be unheard of for the Mansoir Modern showroom. They are one of the finest purveyors of rugs in the world and most rugs start in the high thousands because of the time and quality involved in each piece, but these pieces will be starting in the low hundreds!

SO - how are you going to remember to get your shopping on bright and early Monday? Just pop over to the invitation list by clicking right here, and the rest will be handled for you! I just signed up myself because there's no way I'm missing this chance! Click click!

ROOM OF THE WEEK 10.28

It's officially that time of year where I begin to dream of heavenly dining rooms to host cozy dinner parties....
ED1108_NAHEM_dining_H
Something like this room by Joe Nahem, perhaps? I love that it's deceptively simplistic: a table, some chairs, drapes - nothing that appears too complicated - and yet the detail of each layer is perfectly thought out. The scale of the wallpaper pattern and how it compliments the tile in the fireplace. The way the woods ground the space even without a rug (which would take away from the gorgeous table base anyway), and the combination of that soft olive grey with peachy drapes. And plants, of course! The most simple of decor, but what a statement they make here bringing life to this quiet little space.

A bit traditional? Yes. But welcoming in the way your stylish grandmother would be. Which makes me love it even more!

FROM FANTASY TO FÊTE: PUMPKIN PARTY

Camille from Style Notes, here - Hope you're all dreaming up the perfect devilish costume, 'cause today's post is full of inspiring ideas for a very chic All Hallow's Eve! In our last Fantasy to Fête post, we created a macabre, almost-Gothic style Halloween party. This week, we're lightening the mood with a bit of whimsy that'll leave you grinning almost as much as the jack 'o lanterns lining the porch steps.
Halloween Party Inspiration Board-Camille Styles Events
Who says October 31st must be dark and brooding? This party is all about FUN, from the tissue paper poms floating above a decadent dessert buffet, to the piles of gorgeous pumpkins arranged in a yellow to orange ombré pattern. And just in case you've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to don these flame-colored pumps...now's the time, my dears!
Halloween Party Lanterns-Camille Styles Events
The inspiration comes to life in the living room with a canopy of lanterns overhead. Pearl River has a great selection; buy loads and dangle from the ceiling with fishing line at multiple levels.
Halloween Invitation Download
Aren't these b*spoke invites positively bewitching? Lucky for us, the free download is available here.
Halloween Party Bar and Buffet-500-Camille Styles Events
Decorate the self-serve bar & buffet with a few bunches of rust-colored calla lilies leaning languorously in glass vases. Flickering orange votives & a few strategically-placed plastic snakes & spiders strike a playful-chic balance.
Halloween Party Cocktails-500
Mix up a pitcher of Sinister Cider Cocktails, and garnish martini glasses with black licorice sticks. Set out cocktail napkins, extra ice, and a couple bottles of wine so that guests can help themselves and you're free to mingle.
Halloween Party Cupcakes-Camille Styles Events-500
I love the Victorian vibe of a vintage iron terrarium. There are lots around the web, but I'm particularly enamored with the grand scale of this one. Fill it with cupcakes now; plant a gorgeous indoor garden later. For the full menu and all the recipes (including these mini carrot cupcakes), hop over to Style Notes. Hope that you all have a wickedly wonderful Halloween!

I have one more too good to be true moment to share: the realization that this is my 1,000th blog post!

I'm not sure how to properly mark the occasion other than to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who wanders in and out of this little piece of blogland real estate. But a particularly huge thank you to those of you who have actually come back here 1,000 times!

Here's to the next...well, maybe I'll stop counting now...

FOODIE FASHIONISTA: SPOOKY SWEETS

While it may be Cassandra's birthday around here, it's also Halloween week, darling coco+kelley readers! Crissie, from bug&Bear, here to share a few of my current obsessions with you.

I love an unexpected combination - pairing beat-up jeans with sexy heels, dressing up a simple black tee with an armor of studs... or snickerdoodle sweet sandwiches with sinister candied apples. Trick or treat!

Crazy Short Hairstyles for Summer Fall

For a crazy hairstyle with a unique touch to it then you should take a look at some of these pictures of short styles that are currently taking over the heads of the celebrities that we know and love.

One of the most crazy hairstyles that we have seen of late and also the one that was met by so many mixed reviews is the cropped pixie look. Victoria Beckham and Rihanna pulled this look off really well with it spiked, slicked to the side and even worn with pretty accessories but Katie Holmes who also tried it didn’t look quite so good.

If you have a tiny frame and an oval or long shaped face, this hairstyle is a great one for you and can be tried in a mixture of various colors with some bold highlights for an even more unusual feel. One of the best ways to find some unusualshort hairstyles is to look at the Emo kids that are putting themselves all over the internet.

THE FETE...

I've been teasing you all with shots from my birthday dinner over the weekend, and am so excited to finally share them with you! Shall we begin with some bubbly...?
IMG_3811
When my 30th started to approach, I knew that I wanted to celebrate it with an intimate dinner for my closest friends, and that I wanted it to be perfectly 'me'. I started out thinking that I wanted mostly black and white with metallics for the tabletop, but when I saw the cover of the latest Martha Stewart Weddings, I knew that a pop of pink and red would add the perfect punch of color!
IMG_3792
My second piece of inspiration? The gorgeous Kate Spade heels that I barely snatched up before they disappeared forever. Their multicolored glitter reminded me to add that touch of playfulness to the table... in fact, I'd say the entire look was influenced by that infamous Kate Spade style.
IMG_3767
And here it is!! The gorgeous tabletop! (If I do say so myself.) It's exactly what I envisioned in my head and I couldn't believe how well it turned out considering that the pieces all came together that morning.
IMG_3780
IMG_3711
Of course, I couldn't have done it without the help of some very talented and wonderful people, like my florist, McKenzie Powell (whose arrangements are still making me smile sitting on my desk as I write this post!) and my photographer Char Beck who obviously did a fantastic job!
IMG_3747
IMG_3772
I also couldn't have completed this look without the help of my good friend Sheena who owns a boutique rental company called Totally Tabletops. Her polka dots made the setting! I'm lucky enough to have restaurant in my family - my father owns a little Italian place called Rialto here in Seattle - and he was kind enough to let me take over for the day.... and night. (What are dad's for, right?) And finally... a HUGE thank you to my amazing intern, Jennie, who basically just kicks ass at being my right hand gal.

I'll be putting more photos up on the coco+kelley facebook page later today - there are so many good ones it was hard to choose and I want to share them all, so be sure to swing by this afternoon!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes, and there will be plenty more birthday celebrating to come this week!

xoxo,
cassandra

Tasty Tuesday {Dressed Up for Halloween}

With Halloween just around the corner, it's no wonder sweets remain on the brain, but I think this year I'd like to add a sophisticated twist to the traditionally kid-centric holiday.

Why not lift the golden tones from fall foliage and slip them into your kitchen, onto your table and into your Halloween party menu? You can go dressed as the hostess-with-the-mostest and the trick or treaters will love it!

Poires Belle Helene - Spiced Poached Pears with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream by Tartelette

For the poached pears:
6 Forelle pears (or other small-ish pears)
2 tablespoon mulling cider spice mix
juice of one lemon

For the chocolate sauce:
4 oz semisweet best quality chocolate
1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon honey

For the ice cream:
2 cups (500ml) heavy cream

1 cup (250ml) whole milk
1 cup (200gr) granulated sugar
1 vanilla bean

Prepare the pears:
Place the pears, spice mix, lemon juice and water in tall saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Lower the heat and let them simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the pears are just soft (poke with a toothpick to check).
Remove from the water using a slotted spoon and allow to cool on paper towel or baking rack.

Prepare the sauce:
Place the chocolate in a non reactive bowl and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan set over medium high heat, bring the cream and honey to a strong simmer. Remove from the heat and pour over the chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes then slowly stir until the mixture comes together.

Prepare the ice cream:
In a large saucepan, stir together the cream, milk, and sugar. Cut the vanilla bean in half and scrape the inside with the tip of a knife. Add that pulp (the seeds) to the pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium low heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and let steep as it cools to room temperature. Refrigerate, preferably overnight. Strain if desired.

Process the mixture into your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's intructions.

Jules, you know I mean that in the best way possible. I am absolutely head over heels for this dress! Wouldn't it be such a unique style for the holidays? I can just see myself passing around the martinis now...

Totally versatile - you can tuck it under your arm, throw over your shoulder or grab and go. Big enough to carry almost anything, but not too big you can't take it into a crowded space. And endlessly classic. No bells and whistles necessary.

Just like we want our looks and our life to be, right? Can a bag really provide all that? Well, a girl can give it a try!
