So many shades of green this time of year, but this is the one I'm loving right now...

Birthday Request #2 - 4: Items Fit for a Queen

Is it too much to ask to own a gorgeous chaise like this?

Surely not. Surely they would just waive the charge of shipping this from Australia, since it's my birthday and all, right? I would put it in my office, as a place to throw myself onto at the end of the day with a big stack of magazines and a nice glass of wine... *sigh*...

Of course, I'd have to wear this while doing so...

Well, really any of the drop dead gorgeous dresses from the Spring Marchesa collection will do...


And then there's the matter of bling. Besides the stunning Vera Wang piece that caused quite the commotion around here, I think I'd also love one of these...


An over the top masterpiece from jewelry designer Miriam Haskell. How could you say no to a cocktail ring like that? Definitely fit for a queen.

Off To A Wedding... So Here's One For You!

Today, I head to Montana for my friend Amy's wedding, so I thought I'd leave you with what might be my new favorite color inspiration for my own wedding (you know, the next time I decide to do a Wedding Week around here...)

It all started with this gorgeous wedding post at Style Me Pretty, photographed by the talented Amy Squires.

A simple, chic mix of clean modern meets traditional in shades of grey, white and green. What could be more perfect? (How cute are those streamers too?)


I adore the use of the cameo silhouettes used throughout the wedding... including in the cookies! The green adds such richness to what would otherwise be a rainy day palette, it completely transforms the entire mood into sophisticated and fresh.

My absolute favorite detail might be the shoes!!! LOVE THEM!

I also spotted this gorgeous arrangement via Ruby Press by Antony Todd that would compliment this color scheme so perfectly...


I love the idea of using vintage silver containers with lots of fresh greens!

And finally, I received this fab invitation by Ashley of Smashing Cards during my wedding week and I had to share...

Inspired by this room from the wedding contest, Ashley created a design to perfectly compliment what was one of my absolute favorite spaces. I might have to give this girl a call when it's my turn to walk down the aisle! Isn't it perfect?

One Year And Counting...

Room of the Week 3.27

Inspired by Kate's post over at Girl Meets Glamour earlier this with some seriously gorgeous work spaces, I decided to make this week's Room of the Week this casual space that resembles my own ideal work space.

A cozy little nook to catch up on magazine reading, a nice worn in table (already got one!), a comfy work chair, and fresh white paint. Just add a wall of storage and bulletin boards, and I'm good to go! I also love combination of country meets eastern influences with the mesh of the fabrics used in the window seat pillows with the farm table and striped rug.

Room of the Week 11.2

Franki at life in a venti cup had originally posted this room a few weeks ago, and of course I loved it... one guess why!?



It's my green! And I don't know why I hadn't thought about it sooner, but the bathroom seems like such a perfect place to put it. I'm loving how the floating sinks keep the room so light with a bright white floor, that glamorous chandelier, and of course the green Philippe Starck mademoiselle chair! Although, I think I would have to add just a splash of some other colors or patterns just to mix it up a little bit - and get rid of that wall sculpture (sorry, just not my style!) I just want to curl up in that big bath, light some candles, and relax ALL WEEKEND!

I'm COMPLETELY in love with these lamps I found on 1st dibs. I'm so going thrift store scouring to find something similar!

Glossy Finds: Italia Style

I was obsessing over this room from Elle Decor Italia about a month ago ~ I don't know how practical it is, but for some reason I found it very soothing visually. Maybe because of the simplicity of it, and of course the use of my favorite green! My favorite piece in the room was the chair though, so I've been looking for something similar...



Last week I stumbled upon a couple different designs similar to the one in the room on a great site, the Scandanavian Design Center. (And as we know, Scandanavian design right now is hot hot hot!).



Created by Swedish designer Björn Dahlström, the "Superstructure" chair can definitely stand alone as a statement piece for a room. And it should be for the price!



Another smaller option is this garden chair from Norway Says. Again, it has similar lines to the chair in the room, and is much more affordable than the other chair! I'm still searching for the one in the photo, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know!
