This Friday, I'll get the chance to do two wonderful things in Seattle: Support local student designers while also supporting a good cause - the American Heart Association.
Project Red Dress was created by designer Monir Zandghoreishi, presented with FGI, and benefits the Go Red campaign in its efforts to bring a greater awareness of heart disease in women.
During the evening, ten student designers from five local fashion design schools compete by showing off their red dress creations on the runway, and the winning student designer will receive a $3,000 scholarship through FGI Seattle.
Which brings me to my favorite part of the event - the fact that one of my all time favorite Project Runway boys, Nick Verreos is set to be the celebrity judge for the second year in a row. How fun will that be!? Tickets are still available right here, so if you're in the neighborhood, why don't you swing by and join us?
