This is not a description you'd typically hear regarding couture collections, which usually consist of frothy skirts and over-the-top details, but designer Alexis Mabille has created his own 'casual' couture style for 2009, and I for one definitely approve.
While Alexis maintains gorgeous detailing (feathers, lace and satin ribbons!), the majority of this collection did look stunningly comfortable at the same time...
Plus, you have to admire a designer who ends with a sharply tailored black suit, accented with lace and pops of fresh blue (and tulle, no less!) instead of a pouf of white. I'm also dying for the lace dress (is it navy? or black?) and those shoes. One of each? Yes please.
