A Collection In White

Years ago I fell in love with an Elie Saab wedding dress on the pages of Martha Stewart, and since then his couture collections are amongst those that I look forward to the most...
Have you noticed the abundance of all-white spaces on blogs these days? It seems like we're all looking for a breath of fresh air, which is exactly what Elie created when he introduced an all-white collection in the recent Fall 2009 Couture show.
The bonus to this, of course, is that any one of these dresses would work for a fabulously original wedding dress. On the downside... this collection followed in the footsteps of that amazing all-white Chanel collection just a little too closely, drawing negative reviews from the fashion world.
While the flowery appliques certainly screamed Lagerfeld, Elie's beaded dresses in his more signature styles were all him, and still original enough to wow this gal. Brides and red-carpet walkers alike would be so lucky to wear any one of his fabulous creations.

And, while we're talking weddings, be sure to pop over to Weddings Fresh today where Dani has asked me to help kick off her Couture Week with a roundup of fabulous bridesmaid dresses!
