A Spring in My Step

My Saturday night is likely going to consist of laundry and HGTV watching, but if I had an excuse I'd be slipping into any of these beauties and dancing the night away.

Loubutin, Manolo, more Loubutin and Giuseppe Zanotti

Or I'll continue to sit on my couch and stare at my feet instead of the TV. Check out more stunning options at The Bride's Cafe. You will die and go to shoe heaven!

Happy Weekend!

Jump for joy - it's Friday luvies.

This weekend I might

Bake some more cookies

Or simply go out and play!

See you Monday my dears.

Happy (Make Believe) Weekend

2002 h&g alexandre bailhache

Doesn't this setting just look right out of a fairy tale? Oh, how I'd love to escape to this gorgeous home, cozied up to a warm fire, enjoying the quiet view... of course, I am in my own little wonderland this weekend... the trees here are frosty and snow is piled to unbelievable heights everywhere!

I hope you find your own little fairy tale moments this weekend too...

For the Boys

I love my redblooded american man with all my heart, but the look of the european portion of the gender  always catches my eye. I appreciate the asthetic of a good t-shirt as much as the next girl...

but a little spit and polish could do our american men some good. I think these clean and classy looks from Danish company The Kooples, would do just the trick, don't you agree?

Friday Giveaway: Ice Cream Social!

What better way to kick off the weekend than with a fun little freebie? I am head over heels for the cards I featured yesterday from Ice Cream Social, and the two gals who started this sweet Brooklyn shop have generously offered to give a set away to you!

To enter, simply leave a comment letting us know either...

1. Your favorite design currently in their shop
2. Your dream custom design for personal notecards
3. Your favorite custom design featured on their blog

For example...

Check out this amazing design created by Jenn and Mary as a wedding 'logo'. The couple used the design on bags, favors and thank you cards. A.MAZING! I guess I know who I'll be going to someday for my own custom pieces!

The comments will be open until next Wednesday, when we'll pick one random reader to win the set of cards. So, hop over to the shop or blog, and let us know what you're loving!

Freeze Frame

I live in a home with a lot of tall blank walls and I love the collage-of-frames look to create a focal point and add drama to a room.

row 2: photos by Mark Lund via black eiffelelle decor

I love the idea of starting with empty frames and then hitting up etsy, thrift stores and my artsy friends to fill the holes. Who knows, maybe I'll even pick up a paint brush myself.

On The Road Again...

I'm off for yet another weekend adventure today... that makes three long weekends in a row of travel! Whew. While I wish my getaway car were as luxurious as this...

Instead, I'm in desperate need of new luggage, and will be much more bundled up for the cold weather of Spokane where I will be visiting my alma mater and catching up with old friends.

I'll take the Louis, the pink case with red trim (i die!) and the little dog too. Back tomorrow with a little giveaway before the weekend, luvies!

Decor Dejour

Creating good tablescapes is an enviable skill.

This one brilliantly incorporates layers, art and the it color orange so perfectly. I would love to come upon something like this every time I opened my front door!

Let the Sun Shine In

My 2009 style resolution was to keep things light and airy.

Melanie at you are my fave found some great sunshiny examples - I want to mash them all into one perfect, well-lit house!

The Equestrian Life

There's something so sweet yet refined about equestrian details. Every little girl wants her pony, and every big girl wants her equestrian boots. Me? I want to keep adding these little accessories to my home...

Oh Behave!

I've been craving spring of late, but if I could get my hands on any of the fall collection from Best Behavior I'd welcome gray skies. It feels very Mary-Kate & Ashley-esque.

The line beautifully pairs my favorite grey with pops of uber hip yellow and green. I need that last look, like, yesterday!

Shine On

I'm currently swooning over the pairing of high gloss floors, sparse interiors, and decorative ceilings...

I love these open spaces with their modern style and historic character. Such a dream!

The Dream Wedding

To add to my wedding fashion repertoire for 2009, if I were to live out the fairy-tale princess wedding, my bridal party would have to include these heavenly pieces.

Go big, go ruffles, go glam, or go home, right?! Stacy found a few more over-the-top options to send you into bridal bliss!

Say it Ain't So!

Reliable sources are reporting that Domino is doomed. No wonder my subscription hasn't arrived in 3 months.

I don't always agree with their choices or aesthetic (see above image), but it is a dark day for decor for sure - let the mourning begin.

Domino Magazine Closing: Is It Really Over?

According to WWD, and reported on Apartment Therapy, it looks like this time the rumors could really be true... Is Domino done for good?

No more jumping up and down on the bed every time I receive a new glossy cover in my mailbox? (Ok, so the February issue was a bit disappointing... but still!). What's a girl to do? You better start pulling images out of your decofiles now because it looks like the website will be departing as well... Oh, what a sad sad day! I'm crossing my fingers that this somehow isn't true. Please don't tell me all we'll have left are the stuffy overpriced pages of Elle Decor? (Gorgeous eye candy, but simply unattainable for the majority of us). Domino has been the one magazine to make design accessible and simple. Please don't go!

Light as a Feather

I don't know if it's my style resolution for the year or my longing for lighter skies and brighter days, but I'm loving easy-breezy looks for everything right now. Then I spotted Erin Featherston's spring collection and thought the decor and the fashion paired oh so well.

Alas, I probably have to run off to la la land to get away with both looks, but for now I'll be California dreamin'!

I Love...

This oversized clutch from Urban Outfitters

The pattern is simply beautiful and the pink lining to die for. This may be my first official purchase for Spring!

Um Hello,

Hi dream kitchen, nice to meet you.

Where have you been all my life! ( I know you're from PB, but it can be our little secret)

Genius.

pierre yovanovitch setee

Not only do I adore the glam factor of this settee (nailheads on creamy leather? yes please.) but the teeny shelf just large enough to perch your champagne glass on? Genius.

Oh My, Orange!

I have to admit, I was somewhat surprised that my color predictions week here at coco+kelley didn't include any orange! It seems to be a hot color for the spring, and one that I have definitely been drawn to lately...

orange pop

Orange seems a bit retro, so seems quite fitting with the vintage stylings of this Issac Mizrahi dress, and I love how fresh the dahlias look set upon this casual table. There's something to be said for crisp white linen paired with this color!

One of my favorite rooms from the Los Angeles based design group m. design features this glamorous pair of mirrors with a perfect splash of orange to add character. How fabulous do they look between those topiaries in the gold pots?

orange pop2

A strong citrus orange was also featured in some of my favorite Spring collections - proof that if it's done well, it's actually a very wearable color! Sweet summery dress from Jenni Kayne, statement orange trench from Etro, blended with beautiful blues and pinks in the Akris collection, and a pop of neon in a flowing gown from Halston. (All photos via style.com)

Makes me think of one of my all-time favorite rooms from Tom Scheerer...

tom scheerer

I love the way the orange pops against the neutrals in the room, gives it so much life, don't you think!?

An It Chic{k}

I discovered another real cool chic, and she's got a real cool name too - Gala Gonzales. Ladies are loving the french girl look, but Gala is bringing it home for Spain.

I'll take #1 for saturday brunch, #2 for a hot valentines day dinner and #3 for casual friday

Apparently she has also been deemed an It Girl. (can anyone tell me what that really means and how one gets deemed it?) I guess I was the last to know.
