The Parisian apartment of Herve Van der Straeten, captured by
Simon Watson, is just a work of art in its own right. The mix of striking mid-century pieces like the mirror combined with modern lines and saturated antique pieces
(how gorgeous is that blue in the couch? and mustard chairs?) It's like a walk through time - a museum of incredible furniture pieces put together into a fairly liveable space
(minus the mobile - I would so run into that thing).
I think we can attribute the visual appeal of this space to a lack of clutter and the clean white walls, which allow the pieces to stand on their own, while the soft rug pulls it all together without making it feel too cold. Not necessarily a space I could live in, but wow does it make a statement!
