Style (E)scapes: Shopping at Oliver & Lilly's

Refreshingly unique and filled with exclusive lines, Oliver & Lilly's is a small clothing boutique situated in historic South Granville that has quickly become a destination for the style savvy. It is hands down my favorite place to shop in Vancouver B.C. Well, ok, it would be if I lived there.

I adore Leighann and her style so much! Every time I pop over to her blog to see what's new, I end up leaving a comment something to the effect of "Ahhhhh!!!! I NEED THAT!" (If you don't believe me, see for yourself!) So, of course, I asked to to share with us her favorite picks from the shop for spring! And just to get this out of the way...

Leighann's Top Styles for the Season from Oliver & Lilly's

*1. Aunt Judy and Janie: Two words, Heidi Merrick. Need I say more? The orange Aunt Judy dress is by far my favorite this spring and the blue linen Janie Coat is more than perfect for our West Coast Spring weather. Heidi is one of our feature designers at the shop and we are in love with it all.

*2. Village Cotton and Buttery Totes: For weekend dressing, I have been living in anything Eze Sur Mer, especially this white blouse - it's crisp and no fuss. While wearing it you can feel the designers’ inspiration of seaside living in the village of Eze-sur-Mer, France. Now prepare yourself - one touch of this Linea Pelle Dylan Folding Tote and there is no going back. I believe the photo alone explains all its coolness. This is THE BAG of the century (yes, I plan on living 100 years to prove it!)
*3. Distressed Denim and Colorful BF Shirting: I love that we are seeing more relaxed and less polished denim this spring. My two favorites that mold perfect to all silhouettes are the Paige Jimmy Jimmy and the James Beau (as shown.) Now all you need is vibrant color like the Amanda Uprichard shirt (tucked in) to give a nice crisp balance to the distressing.

*4. The Maxi Dress: Maxi dresses are the perfect grab and go piece for either day or night. I chose this maxi dress by Amanda Uprichard because of its color and for some reason it screams; “BIG HAIR, BARE FEET, BEACH SIDE and CHAMPAGNE”….anyone?
